Privacy Notice

Little Mozarts Day Care and Activity Centre (PTY) LTD (Reg. 2017/260977/07) respects your privacy. This notice explains how we handle personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

When you complete an enrolment form we collect details about your child (name, date of birth, home language, medical and allergy information, previous school), about parents, guardians and the person paying the account (names, ID numbers, contact details, addresses, occupation), emergency contacts and people allowed to collect your child, and copies of documents such as birth certificates, ID documents, medical aid and clinic cards and proof of payment. We also keep your electronic signatures and the date and internet address from which the form was submitted.

Why we collect it

To consider and process your child’s enrolment, to care for your child safely (including in a medical emergency), to contact you, to administer and collect school fees, and to meet our legal obligations. We only use the information for these purposes.

Photos of children

We only show photos of a child on our website or social media if a parent has given permission on the enrolment form. You can withdraw permission at any time by contacting us, and we will remove the photos.

How we protect it

Enrolment forms and documents are sent over an encrypted connection and stored privately — they are never publicly visible on the website. Only the principal can access them, through a password-protected portal. We keep secure backups.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We only share it where needed: with medical professionals in an emergency, with our website hosting and email providers who store it on our behalf, with a credit bureau or attorney where the enrolment terms allow it, or where the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep enrolment records while your child attends Little Mozarts and for as long afterwards as the law requires for financial and tax records. Applications that are not accepted are deleted when no longer needed.

Your rights

You may ask to see the information we hold about you or your child, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how it is used — just contact us.
